Muhammad Ali was an award winning boxer, civil rights and anti-war activist, and an author.
Nicknamed "The Greatest," Ali struggled in school due to undiagnosed dyslexia. Ali excelled in the boxing ring and was the first fighter to win the world heavyweight championship on three separate occasions. He successfully defended his title 19 times.
Ali was convicted of draft evasion in 1967, but after a four year legal battle, his conviction was overturned. Ali was the author of several books, including "The Greatest" and "Soul of a Butterfly."
